News and Updates: October 30, 2009 I am back from the book tour for After the Honeymoon. It went well. I met a ton of great people and fine writers. I'd like to thank everyone who hosted the venues, read with me, set up the tour, put me up at their house, etc. Too many people to name, but thanks. I will be reading with two of my good friends, Dan "Cracker/Jackson" Crocker and Becky Schumejda, in Cambridge next Friday and in Kingston, N.Y., with Tim Gager and Alan Catlin tacked on the bill, next Saturday. I have added some new local readings as well. Check out the readings page for details. Happy Halloween, folks. Under no circumstances, whatsoever, should you accept any candy from me. September 17, 2009 My new collection of poetry, After the Honeymoon, is released today. I'm very excited. If you're interested in getting a copy, here are the links to buy it on-line: sunnyoutside press (If possible, this is the best way to order, as you support your small presses and independent businesses by purchasing directly from the publisher.) Also, check out my reading schedule. A few more have been added. At some point, I'll be meeting up with Pearl Jam, and Eddie Vedder and I are going to perform an acoustic cover of Beyonce's "Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)." You're beautiful. Go Sox! August 25, 2009 I just updated my "Readings" page. If you live east of The Rockies and north of The Mason/Dixon Line, chances are good you'll be able to catch me somewhere and spit on my shoes for wasting your time. The page for After the Honeymoon will be up later today. I have a new piece of flash fiction titled "On Cadillac Mountain" on the website Fried Chicken and Coffee. Check it out. It's part of a circle of stories that may or may not ever be finished. This is a real feel-good piece. Boo! Made you look. August 20, 2009 As most of you can discern, the cover for After the Honeymoon is finished. Many thanks to Erin Ruttan for taking the photographs and Dave McNamara for designing it. I will be putting up a page for the book sometime this weekend, complete with the specs, the blurbs by David Kirby, Tim Green of Rattle, and Rusty Barnes of Night Train, and the book's pink, frilly underwear. The release date for After the Honeymoon is September 17, and I'll be posting the reading tour dates soon. Just remember, I love you. July 14, 2009 My new book of poetry After the Honeymoon will be released on September 17 by sunnyoutside. I will be doing readings all around the country, so keep checking this site or my Facebook page for details on where you can catch me next fall. In the meantime, try to get some sleep. I've been receiving some very handsome contributor's copies this summer. I have received copies of The Meadow, Quercus Review, and Falling Star Magazine in the past month or so and have been very impressed with the production and the writing. I'm humbled to be included. I will be updating this site, as well as my blog, more frequently as the publication date approaches. In the meantime, try to get some sleep. May 12, 2009 I have a new piece of flash fiction titled "Almost Christmas" posted at Night Train Magazine, and the piece received a nice write-up on the Emerging Writers Network. I'm humbled for both honors. My blog is now officially Nate Graziano's Big Baseball Blog. I have reinvented myself as an imaginary sportswriter. Check it out and sign-up to follow it. If you don't, I'll be out of an imaginary job. Go Sox! Go Bruins! Go Celtics! May 5, 2009 Yes. I'm still alive. There just hasn't been a ton going on with the literary life lately, and on top of that, I discovered Facebook and have been wasting an inordinate amount of time on there. The new book of poetry, however, is coming along, and the Advance Reader's Copies should be printed soon. After the Honeymoon will be published in September by sunnyoutside press, and I will be doing a fairly extensive book tour in October (more details to follow). In the meantime, I am fancying myself a sportswriter and blogging on The Red Sox; that is, when I'm not wasting time on Facebook, which has worked out to roughly one blog entry per month. But if more people decide to follow my blog (hint, hint) and give me the attention I so desparately crave, I'll probably write more. Is that a threat? Go Sox! January 17, 2009 It just occurred to me that my "updates" were going back two years. There seems to be something oxymoronic about that, huh? And, someday, I'll look up the word "oxymoron" and know what it means. So it's time to start afresh. These days, most of my news, retarded ideas and theories, and, of course, "updates" are done via my blog that no one reads. It's linked in the upper-righthand corner of this webpage. See it? But I am still posting my readings and book information here. Speaking of which, I have a new book of poetry titled After the Honeymoon coming out with sunnyoutside press in September. It picks up were Honey, I'm Home left off, entertaining the themes of marriage, parenthood, addiction, and general existential malaise in the modern world. It's not experimental, or flashy, or tricky. They're poems from the heart, the gut, and the legs. I'm very excited about it and will be doing a book tour next fall to promote it. Obviously, more information will follow. In the meantime, I invite you to check out my blog, leave a comment, and make me feel less alone in the universe by communicating with me virtually on the web.
